I am an OR nurse and these are still used in many hospitals today. They are used to warm blankets. They are especially helpful if the patient must be quarentined. The blankets and sheets can be stocked for the patient by the linen staff without the germs spreading in or out of the room.

Love peering out of the windows with broken glass! It has a cold and lonely feel to it.

Your right Matt, Could if of been a workshop or maintenance type room, kind of reminds me of one with the work-board to the right and the closed cabinets to the left back.

Kinda looks like an old bank or courthouse

The work thats gone in that tiling, shame its been left to rot, tho it is in good condition.

Looks as if they've lowered the ceiling at one stage
cos of the railing, and its now all over the floor.
