*For Future Reference: people like Lynne who post here are NOT denying what happened. (consider unseen abuse going on right now in miscellaneous, ordinary looking homes) Rather, it's a clarifying thought that there are people in the mental health field working like heck to make sure that the system does not automatically mean a horrible end at the hands of The Uncaring.
uhh, I think they only stopped caring about decorating as of the 1930s... (GREAT thought was put into architectural ornamentation in the initial construction of these buildings!!)
haha at first that sign looks like "careful everyone there's a fire right here"; all fire safety violations aside though be careful going through that door, you gotta remember to step down

This is sad. It's almost painful to know there is a dedicated group of people genuinely interested in preserving this amazing structure, yet for lack of funding and having to wrestle with the government's red tape, this beautiful, historical monument is crumbling faster and faster. Many stately structures worth saving come under the wrecking ball with relatively little attention, except for the outraged urb-exers like us, and then some like these disintegrate before our eyes no matter how hard people try to save them.
I need to win a lottery or something. *sigh* I hope something can be done for Bannerman's soon.
I would rather swim in the pool at my school, cause I was there,, and I put all the moldy mattresses and sofa in the pool, and I jumped off the diving board, and when my head landed on the mattresses, OUCH! It hurt!!! I nearly killed myself by doing something that stupid!!!
