By the way, Mr. Motts, in this statement "the remedy was more dangerous than the cure" - I think you might mean "the cure was more dangerous than the disease"? Just wondering ;)

In fact, places like this are still in operation and the patient abuses which many of us imagine in the past are still occurring today. Not all psych wards are like this, but this is not the past we're looking at - it's a blissfully abandoned version of the present.

Having just been discharged from a state psychiatric hospital due to major depression, I can speak to the fact that the things we think are in the past... the abuses, the torment both within oneself and from the outside, continue today - behind perpetually locked doors.

Rocking Horse was our arch rival at Sunnycroft, it was just OK it could not touch the "RANCH" in any way shape or form.
Sunnycroft had the hot women, the hot crowds and the action, the other "place" was just there....................no Apologies but the truth be told SUNNYCROFT RULED...................................................................

They did this at The Hudson River State Hospital as well. They destroyed many buildings that could have been used for the community. Like a building that housed a pool, bowling alley, and educational rooms. They used the same type of ammo as seen here.
