Do you seriously think a hospital would allow patients to spend hours carving things into a door and then just leave it there? If it were a small amount of writing on a wall, I could see it being missed by staff and maintenance crews. But this is rather significant grafitti that wouldn't go unnoticed.

Doubtful that if this had been carved by an actual patient, it would have been allowed to remain on the wall. Maintenance staff would have been immediately asked to paint/plaster over it.

The paint on the walls appear to be the same paint on the tub that are flaking away like overly dry skin. Unique and interesting all the same.

I wonder if this poor soul lived to tell her tales of her days at Norwich!?
