I'm speechless! This photo is beautiful yet nightmarish. Like something seen in a dreamlike state causing one to awaken in a cold sweat. The trees seem void of life as does this building. Well done, Mr. Motts.

That single door, still hanging on it's hinges, is so surreal.

In the mist of all this debris, is an intact light bulb. I love it.

Well, that answers my next question: What's on the other side of that green door? Seems the inside is mostly outside. Still, it's fascinating to see a once mighty structure in this advanced stage of decomposition. It's nature at work.

So much craftsmanship. So many hours spent building this work of art. A much less ornate structure would have gotten the job done. But these were artists who took pride in what they created. Built with the intentions of lasting for ever.

Wow. This looked like one of the more dangerous locations you've visited. One would have needed to tread lightly & stay alert for falling debris. Remarkable shot.

As I sit here reading all your entries, I think of my 12year old Autistic daughter, different place, different time she could have been sent there. I can't help but wonder how many kids were sent there like her that had so much to offer but were never given a chance. So sad!

Damn I hate being red/green color blind. I see NO contrast at all.
