As an English church-bell-ringer I'm particularly interested in this shot.. The bell on the left is a 'flared' continental shape; the other is more traditional. The arched, cast-iron headstocks that support the bells help to counter-balance them, which is why one of the bells is partly inverted.
The proper name for the 'hammers' is clappers :)
