That medicine bottle looks like it has been put there relatively recently. I don't think those orange plastic medicine bottles were used 30+ years ago.
As far as I know, are there still some festivals and concerts held on this place. It was created during the darkest time of German history (you know what time, I suppose). Just to complete your informations :-)
It is nice that some of you enjoyed your stay in Germany.
a nice shot! I have never been there although I live in Germany. First I had a little concern about the closing date. In 1990 the two German countries BRD and DDR became one federal republic. The Prora KdF Resort was in fact already abandoned because it was never used as a hotel. This was what I thought :-)
It is weird, there is the modern furniture in an abandoned building with the plants on the floor. That is a scary contrast. I think it is really scary for those who remember having stayed in this hotel before it closed!
I have read that the lampshades are gone. Well it's illegal because there must be an owner somewhere. But on the other hand, it's somehow good news, because they are safe from damage. And they are supposed to be valuable, as someone stated. Even if they haven't been discovered on ebay, it does not mean that they are just a souvenir. maybe there were sold in a shop for antique furniture.
Devin it looks like a dc voltage meter and was probably for a back up generator. The push button on the front would be to test the generator charge when the power for the generator is off. This would let you know that the generator is holding a charge and ready when needed. You can take a guess on the age as the out box is made of wood. I could tell you more but I can't read the fine print on it
