I wonder if they took the glass frames out and that's why the windows are boarded up. After all, where can you find round windows frames?

I like the pinkish color, but not to be in so many of the rooms.

dcc ... what do you mean bad shit happens... happened yes. but i dont know so much about bad things still happening here. i mean once in a while when i go in there i feel like someone must have dumped some bodies in these buildings ... and sometimes i feel like someone might make crack or meth or whatever that nasty drug is that is man made in these buildings but other than my feelings i dont have any actual reason to believe that horrible things do currently happen here. no one has ever told me for a fact. so if youd like to share im listening... email me at laurawlnight@gmail.com .... try to subject it kppc or some thing along those lines. anyone actually with any information on kppc i would love to hear you out. i have been researching kings park insane asylum for about 4 years now and its safe to say im in love with the place from the architecture to the history and my history. so feel free to email me :)

The title here is not quite right. "Das Land", "die Länder". If you mean "countryside", I would go for "die Landschaft".

its called the steam tunnels. they run to every building starting at the power plant where they burned coal to create steam to heat all of the buildings (which is insane if you think about it.... there are so many buildings!) .the coal was delivered on the railroad that once ran through the park. patients were also transported to kppc on that RR.

the author of the farm colonys sugar coats everything and tries to justify what all of the asylums on long island did to their patients and as someone directly affected by their actions i know its safe to say what they did is in no way justifiable. wrong. wrong. wrong, no more and no less
