THANK YOU i have enjoyed this more than i can say. i love looking at old long ago abandoned buildings. the only thing better than your wonderful pictures would be to have been there. i started out watching a documentary on ellis island hospital this afternoon, looked up typhoid mary and hours later ended up here. so thank you for what i thought was going to be a boring night at work. S.

Love the design around the base of the "island". I would have tried to get over to the island, but knowing my luck I'd probably get stuck.

Looks more like the glass fell out rather than being smashed out by vandals.

Wonder what it was? Someones Mountain view Villa that never came to be ? That face on the wall looks mean...as in stay away! I would have had to of taken a closer look just to size up the place anyway :)

How cool is that! Some kind of observation deck perhaps. Wonder if that tree was planted there or grew up from the bottom?

I was hoping to see a closer view of the gates. This is awesome! Must of been lovely in its day. I can imagine what it looked like all filled in with different colors of glass and what a beautiful prism light effect was displayed as the sun shined through.

From this view, something Indian or maybe Oriental comes to mind.
