the material is concrete, the pattern results from waffle formwork. it is relatively structurally efficient and was considered fashionable in the sixties and seventies. This is the only place I have seen it in a retrofit as the photo titled desintegrate shows floor joist framing and floor joist pockets in the masonry wall.

Last year, with a Christmas in February, we collected over $1100 for LWI. A church of 190 that also included Samaritan’s Purse shoeboxes, $1000 for a Haiti trip, clothing for Tree of Love (CPC) and $600 for Kidmo. This year our attendance is down due to some situations but we have bested last year’s shoebox total and all the clothing was bought for more families.
