She's lovely Starscreamn.Sort of like a cat/human hybrid.
I see your point Bas.You can almost sort of imagine the rust spots actually being blood.Reminds me of an old episode of Tales from the Crypt where someone was shredded by a fan.
I can confirm vultures definitely live in Pennsylvania.Turkey vultures in most of the United States,Pennsylvania included.
What movies are you talking about Sam?I know abuse did happen at Pennhurst and film was taken of the horrid conditions but they showed nothing quite that extreme and if they did things of that nature Pennhurst would have been shutdown long before it was and most of the staff would have been incarcerated.
I really do like those windows and the colors from them with light shining through gives this room a dream like feeling aswell.
I don't think alot of people know of it either, not just because it isn't boarded up but the lack of graffiti.
The one bad thing about exploring places like this is all the accidents waiting to happen.
The last photo in the gallery and probably the most beautiful. It does look like something out of a dream.
The symmetry is odd but stylish.
Maybe I'm just weird but I almost imagine those vines coming through the window to grab people.
I've always hated going to the dentist so this photo gives me a strange sense of satisfaction.Die evil dental chair!DIE!

I've always loved great ironwork both on fences and on buildings.Shame you don't see as much of it being made these days.
That tree alone looks as lonely and forlorn as the building itself.
I can't see why something like this would just be left behind.
