I know that the radiator should be non-accessable to patients because they may easily burn themselves, but it does seem odd that its on the celing *scratches head*
And lets not forget the Raidator on the Cieling (top right) odd placement.... I understand safety may be the reason... but doesnt heat rise? Pennhurst has some major oddities going on. Thank you Lynne for explaining some of them, but there are some things at Pennhurst that defy explanation....
Lynne,
Yes and no.... lol This is a very powerful picture. And yes, it immediately gave me the feeling of being sucked underwater, trapped in a ship that is sinking with no way out. I'm reminded here of an old movie called - The Last Voyage - which scared the heck out of me. I have no claustrophobic issues, but I do have major drowning fears.
Damn Motts... you certainly have an amazing ability to stir emotional reactions with your photography.

a coworker and myself were actually talking about glenndale today, and we were told that back then they really werent too sure as to how tuberculosis affected people, so they tried things like excercise and the like. but that apparently made them worse, killing most of them. that place is pretty creepy....
