You've probably seen it scrawled across a few bathrooms as well, but I was fairly desperate for a date at that period in my life. ;-)
I've worked in California, Indiana, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Utah, Virginia, and Washington in hospitals, institutions, group homes, foster care, private homes, nursing homes, universities, and school systems. Oh, I also worked at several bars and restaurants and I was a Kelly Girl for a while, although I can't type for jack. :-( Always moving on, always one step ahead of the law and the pitchfork-carrying lynch mobs. ;-)
Lynn, I see your name and info peppered all over the site. Where did you work again, that you are so knowledgeable? I worked with the MR/MH population, but I have never been exposed to anything anywhere near as creepy as the places Motts has photographed.
the utica crib looks very form fitting - like you wouldn't be able to turn over or change positions in it at all. just lie on your back for hours staring at the heavy wooden slats. i'm with Lynne - i would prefer being chained up but left with more room to move about....maybe.
I think that's a beautiful commode. So much more stylish than the ugly white plastic ones they use now. Was it to be bolted to the floor? What's up with the base on it?
There's even a mention of Danvers in my history book - in the section detailing the Salem Witch trials, it says something about Salem now being Danvers, or something of the like. I was reading and I was all excited at the little mention! *blush*
^ and your old Furby that suddenly decides to start talking when you're rummaging around in a dark corner for something...and you've been nowhere near the thing...
