I remember lighting these as a kid (yes I did attend church at some point in life). I wouldn't mind one of these now, it would be nice to have for around the holidays.
The pews look like they are oak if I'm not mistaken, what a shame if all this was trashed.
those sell for a lot of money
wow I would love some of that stuff!
Never been in one, never will.
I can see some nuns sliding down that banister side saddle! (That comment will probably get me sent straight to hell but I couldn't resist!)
Too bad this space couldn't be reused. We Americans waste so much.
Love the woodwork and how it hadn't been painted over throughout the years. But then only to be abandoned and/or demolished. What a waste.
I've never seen radiators high off the floor like that, I like it. Makes it so you can clean underneath!
I hate to see religious places graffitied up and abandoned. So sad.
YES! What a way to start the New Year! With a new gallery. Thanks Mr. Motts and Happy New Year to you!
I wouldn't mind finding a fetus in a jar. .
I hope whoever got that gave it a good home and didn't trash it, because you know if you trash anything religious you're going straight to hell.
Where is that looking into? Is this the back of the auditorium?
The copy on the front almost looks like it was typewritten and the dark blue design mimeographed or silk-screened. Perhaps that was used for every program and the particulars for this week were typed in? This might put this sometime before computers and "desktop publishing" were common. Maybe 70s-80s? Just a guess.
