Do the crime do the time. It is choices that they have made. They should be confined from loved ones, in hopes that they would miss them enough not to want to go back. My heart goes out for those that were wrongly convicted or on trial though. Magnific pic Motts....
having worked in the corrections field, the thoughts of the things that went on in this hall and inside the cells, this picture captures the whole feeling. Long, dark, dank, and a deadly life ahead. Awesome work...

As I commented before, this is the site of our Rainbow girl convention ( called Grand Assembly). On the last night there, we had what we called tha "Grand Ball". All the girls dressed in gowns and we all loved coming down the stairs in our long dresses. This stairway was the site of one of the funniest things. One of the girls I was friends with was not very lady-like. After watching us all decend gracefully, she reaches down, grabs the HEM of her dress and pulls it up to about waist height. Then she STOMPS down the stairs. We had good times at the place. Sad....so sad.
In the mid 80's I was a member of a group called Rainbow for Girls. Every year we had a state convention. We stayed at this place every year till they closed. It is so sad that it should have come to this.......
