Looks like there's ONE chocolate doughnut left on that horizontal dougnut rack....Can I have it? (..unless someone else wants it....)
How........."verdant".......;-)
I'M HERE: lol. NP :-). Just kidding. Just thought it sounded like a useful item to have ....;-).
Now that's a desolate picture.
I've seen lots of crumbling, yawning floor-craters, collapsed ceilings, and piles of rubble on this site, but this shot has to be one of the best so far. I'm amazed that this was still standing in that condition. Absolutely perfect title, too. I'm sure it's not necessary to say, Motts, but be careful. One of my top 10 favorites.
Nice balance of shape and lighting.
Nice. There would be NO way I could walk past that beckoning open door without going inside (though I might have to shimmy up the tree rather than use those steps :-)). Nice angle, and again, B&W fits this, especially with the pattern of the bricks.
Whoa. The evil yellow tiles look like old, cracked skin...:-0. That thing does look like and old 80's arcade game.
Hope the legendary "7 years of bad luck" thing isn't still in effect.....Knock on wood, Motts....;-).
I can never look at pictures of old doors without wondering EXACTLY where on the planet the keys are now..... Nice detail and texture.
Wow. You know a building's old when you see lathe and plaster construction. Great shot. Not to sound like a broken record, but yes, the B&W fits :-).
More horizontal yellow tiles (hides eyes). And with BLACK trim!. Always a creepy, unsettling color combination..... Reminds me of general "sickness". Eeeew.
Oh no, not the ubiquitous hideous horizontal yellow tiles! Tiles like that cannot exist anywhere without being connected to "institutions" in my head :-(. Nice lighting, Motts :-).*** I'M HERE TO SAY: "Staircases", even..;-). Let me know where to get my hands on a "starcase". Might need one someday (kidding ;-)). Yes, I'm with ya on the WALLPAPER! :-) Yep, they do look flattened with all that rubble piled the way it is. Interesting.
Interesting perspective on the "3-D" cross. Reminds me of Picasso, trying to show one thing from many angles at the same time...:-)
Man! Even when this place was open, that entrance must have brought to mind quite the ominous impression of a huge gaping maw about to swallow people whole.... :-0. Strange how "industrial" and plain the surrounding gray stone is compared to the bricks. Odd.
