I love the coloring here.
This shot says a lot. Nice job, Motts.
Bucky Katt, while I appreciate your sentiments and totally get where you're coming from, I have to make a correction. The kids that were placed at Gaebler were not "mentally disabled". They were mentally ill. As someone who has struggled with mental illness her whole life and who has been placed in psychiatric institutions twice, I can't help but be offended by your choice of words. Yes, I'm mentally ill. But in no way am I disabled. I'm just as able and capable as the next girl. Mental illness is NOT a disability, and anyone who views it as such is just promoting the negative stigma that is/was attached to people like the kids who were sent to Gaebler.

Ok, getting off my soapbox now...
It almost looks as if someone ran their fingers through the rust.
Despite the fact that this was staged, it makes for an absolutely gorgeous photo.
These headstone shots are great.
Fantastic.
Nice job. I love this.
Motts, this is breathtaking.
Nice shadows.
It looks like the outline of the opening of a really hard plastic cup.
This is brilliant. I love it.
Creepy.
A similar protocol was followed at the Fernald School in Waltham, MA. I'm sure it was the same at other state schools and developmental centers throughout the states.
I love the admin building at Pennhurst. It looks so sad and derelict.
