Cool Light, I would sure love to have this light. I rumage through abandoned buildings all the time and I have taken home some very neat things, and have never been bothered with the police at all. i look at it this way better me having it then seeing it go in to a dumpster or being vandelized by some one with nothing to do. Could you possibly get this light and send it to me?? Just coiurious. I would love to hang it and wire it up on my ceiling in the basement would make a great conversation peice during football season when I have friends over.

Hi There, I have repaired many of these in my life time. I will tell you what this is. It's A MICROWAVE OVEN! Look closely, as you can see the door hanging off to the right side. The unit has been guted and smashed up by vandels who have nothing better to do with themselves.

The liquid is famaldahide, which used to preserve the contents. Now that I think of it, still would be cool to have these samples, sure would make a lot of people freak out.

Man I came up with an idea for this stuff here. With the capability of DNA and human cloning, why don't I just take these samples and clone me a perfect boyfriend, as I can seem to never keep a boyfriend for long, would be cool to give this a try LOL.

Man I have never seen anything like this in my life. Why would they leave something like this behind, wouldn't that be considered bio hazordious waste???

Man Why is the power still on in this building?? When I come across buildings like this here in st. louis, well the power is off, and almost all the copper tubing and pipes have been stripped from the buildings. This building seems to have all that in tact still. Have you thought about trying to turn on the refrigerator's compressor by turning the temperature dial??? Would be cool to see if it still keeps cold.

I am a air conditioning and heating mechanic by trade. I would sure love to start this cooler back up, and see if it still runs, after all the electricity must still be live, as you found a refrigerator in this place with a working light inside of it. I think it would be cool to see if this old cooler still works.

I love these old places. I look through abandoned buildings all the time where i live in st.louis. I sure love this cooler. I have a walk in cooler in my parents basement that I assembled my self, and I sleep in it every night. I have a flat panel tv on the wall, dvd player, xbox, and even a telephone inside, and yes the cooler it self does work as I hooked it up, and designed it to keep a comfortable temperature of 68 degrees.

Just... stunningly beautiful and evocative. Thanks for sharing all this. Reminds me a bit of the fourth floor of the Queen's Hotel in Portsmouth, UK. Hotel is still operating, but fourth floor (used to be live-in housekeeping quarters) has been condemned.
