The locals used to use the abandoned bomb shelters here, not sure how they survived since I get migraines & super dizzy from all the toxic waste that was dumped there by the city.
When I was homeless I just stayed in my car until I had to go to the bathroom or get food, generally I only went out at night. I was too embarrassed of people seeing me.
I did that for a year straight (and some sorter periods of 1-3 months when I was younger).
The holidays are the worst time because you think of all the people in their nice warm houses with warm food while you're eating almost frozen potted meat & crackers in your car & it's -10°F out not counting the wind chill. You have no bathroom to use because all the stores are closed. You think of the aforementioned people & you begin to hate them. You ended up there through no fault of your own but from a physical disability.
You look to the sky as you drift off to sleep hoping that you'll see nuclear missiles being launched so that not only your misery will end but the lives of the people that are warm & cozy in their nice homes.
From the temperature extremes I ended up with a DVT blood clot in my rights leg (due to the subzero temps all winter) & during the summer 2nd & (minor) 3rd degree burns on half of my torso. The latter was caused by the car getting too hot so i lifted up my shirt to cool down as I went to sleep. Six hours of that in the summer sun turned my torso (literally) into one giant blister that was about an inch thick. I was in so much pain that if I tried spraying lidocaine on it, I passed out. The Dr gave me morphine & I still blacked out.
When the giant blister was opened, it was like pouring a 16.9oz poland spring bottle onto the floor. The skin balled up to about the size of a baseball, maybe slightly larger.
I wasn't supposed to be in the sun for a few months after that but being homeless you dont have much choice. Even wearing a shirt, if the sun hit my torso, I got dizzy.

Looks like the closet of my old apartment when I first moved in lol. Aside from the junkies that lived there I think the landlords boyfriend was using the empty apartments to do drugs.
In 2005 he beat her to death with a hammer, I heard her screaming as her head was smashed in with the sledge.
10 days later someone called the cops because as the body rotted in the bed & the skin began to liquify. That & the gut contents seeped through the bed & into the apartment below.
It was so disgusting ( the smell of the rotting body), as soon as you wake up the sickly sweet thick pungent stench fills your nose & mouth, seemingly pouring a thick ooze down your throat making you gag. I lived on the fourth floor so I had to hold my breath as I entered the building then run up the stairs not breathing til I got inside my apartment. Even then it was strong but not to the point of causing you to vomit.

AVE SATANAS! Lol
I'd love to film some sort of murder movie there involving satanic cults. If not that just do some B&W stills of the same subject matter.
Think the guards will take a $50 bribe?
