I agree also...what is up with that railing? It doesn't look right (as in out of place) with that peeling paint on the door and the debris on the steps.

Strange thing, that. :)

WOOOHOOO NEW GALLARY!

I think I love you Motts lol!

I was an orphan that was born in an institution for unwed mothers (she left me there as a ward of the state because she couldn't care for me) and I was adopted one month to the day of my birth by a wonderful couple. :)

Just thought you would like to know that.

WOW...this brings me back to when I worked in the Laundry at a hotel...and a nursing home. Yeah, I have worked in a LOT of places in my life!

I can smell the freshly washed sheets and pillowcases...and hear the hum of the dryers. I can almost smell the detergent too!

Isn't it funny how Motts' photos bring the people viewing them back to a certain time in their lives...just by the picture alone?

THAT is a sign of one talented photographer!

I worked in a place that rented and cleaned/pressed tuxedos a long time ago, and we used to have rows of machines almost exactly like this to do the shirts and stuff on.

That certainly brings me back!

Oh, and working by these machines was gruelling and HOT work! The temp in that place got up to 120 degrees easily in the summer, with only big industrial fans to cool us down. I lost like 20 lbs. in one summer working there!

I like this...SO open! I can imagine myself living her (as an apartment renter) and just staring out those doors with a cup of coffee in my hand, plotting my next big novel...

*Poof* Sitting at computer in a nice house...with a bottle of Pepsi in hand and listening to Go DIego Go on the TV downstairs...

I like this reality too! :D

This is absolutely a delight to the senses...something about the patterns of the railing on the steps and the tiles on that roof. VERY pleasing!

I am in awe of you Motts! I talk about you and my hubby is getting sick of hearing about these photos lol! He likes some of them too. :D
