Yeah some do have a very strong hospital smell sometimes... I would think it would be from some leftover disinfectant, but haven't really pinpointed the source of that odor from an abandoned hospital yet.

Yes, the entire place was stripped, including all biological waste, by 2008.

They appeared to be hand-written / hand-drawn, then photocopied, and possibly colored in after that.

I think it's just a matter of different countries having different styles, patents, etc. I've noticed a few common designs in the U.S. used around the country, as well as a "standard" type running through the English hospitals.

Announcing my location while exploring isn't really my style...
