I think I would have still looked around, but much more carefully. I'd be very quiet and listen for sounds of other occupants. Maybe you could have even smelled something. I suppose I like to live a little more dangerously.

All those patients must have had frostbite or hypothermia... or just the chills.

I guess people in that country cry so much in mourning that they need that drain.
