Just like a movie.
You can feel it.

Common in 19th C cems. to have stones
that read things like "Father" or "Our Son"
or simply "asleep"

Whenever I come upon a cemetery for the first time there are several things I look for :
one of those things is the receiving vault.
most 19th century cems. had a separate stone bldg.
In some cases the vault is built into a hillside
or,right under the lawn with a hatch door.
This arrangement is a new one to me, as is the funeral chaple.

Wow.

Kind of like St. Alban's,the high Episcople church @ 2nd & Tabor where my brother converted to that faith some35 years ago.
It was imported stone by stone from England.
Still intend to go back for a visit and to see if that rector is still there.
My brother was the organist there.
