I think the big wide flat wheel is the PTO (Power Take Off) for belt driven accessory machines. There would have been a very wide leather belt for it if I am correct.

If that door is the entrance I'd say they installed that concrete beam after the tractor was pulled in. Maybe the building was starting to sag? IDK when the thing was put in there but that sort of corner on cement pillars is post war maybe even 60's era.
