All of the detail that goes into the construction of these old buildings - and it's not just decorative little bits here and there. Everything has been so expertly crafted to be aesthetically attractive and complementary to the surrounding architectural features. Even the staircase. I just love it!

You know Motts, I've gotten so used to seeing your photos devoid of people, it's a bit strange to see so many people in this shot!

There's something about the surgical green colour they always seem to use in these asylums/hospitals/sanitariums. I suppose it's the association of this colour with medical scenarios, but I just can't bring myself to like this colour.

Are they slate tiles on the roof? I just love the patterns!

Those windows are gorgeous! Why can't more buildings these days have such beautiful designs?

It always amazes me that these places have so much equipment left behind - what a terrible waste! Mind you, we wouldn't get so many beautiful shots otherwise >.<
