All of the detail that goes into the construction of these old buildings - and it's not just decorative little bits here and there. Everything has been so expertly crafted to be aesthetically attractive and complementary to the surrounding architectural features. Even the staircase. I just love it!

There's something about the surgical green colour they always seem to use in these asylums/hospitals/sanitariums. I suppose it's the association of this colour with medical scenarios, but I just can't bring myself to like this colour.
