If cleaned up and restored, and as spacious as it is, it would make a great apartment. There must of been an abundance of fresh air in there. Even when there were windows.

I agree, it would make a nice still life too, even with the calcification build up on the paint chips.

Ehhhh......you win some, you lose some! Asylum or not, history is history. Respectable or not, it is something we strongly learn from. At least this generation is less ignorent than our Grand Parents, to even our Great Grandparents time. Back then when it was easy and accepted to turn their backs away and live in self decadence and indulgence. then also put the blame on others quickly.
