Souvenir des Papeteries Godin History
In the 19th century, les Papeteries Godin established a worldwide reputation for fine paper products for the country of Belgium and beyond. Notebooks, envelopes, cigarette paper, currecy, and a myriad of other paper items were produced at the plan in Hoyoux (Huy), using the nearby river water to aid in fabrication. Most of the old mill was demolished, however the iconic water tower remains. For more history, see this document (in French) at Bibliotheca Andana.
