All twelve residential buildings were essentially the same layout, roughly divided into two large rooms (presumably a dormitory and a day room), separated by bathrooms and closet space.

The thing that struck me was how spartan the interior was for a hospital - bare brick walls with large windows, and an open ceiling showing off the massive beams holding up the roof. Although beautiful, it must have been freezing in here in the winter.
