Near the front of the building we found what seems to be a massive scale used to weigh corn - the primary ingredient in bourbon whiskey. The fluted columns of the scale hint at the vintage of the mechanism; a nameplate reads "FAIR SCALE CO," which was founded in Louisville in 1910.
