Zuckerfabrik Greußen History
This old mill was built in 1872 and was used to process sugar, but it had been converted to a variety of different uses over years. In 1910, it was a chocolate factory, and by World War II the facility was used to manufacture aircraft engines, and lastly, for grain storage and processing. It closed in 1990, but remains in private ownership.
