Powerhouse

The 1920s-era plant had an interesting parapet. Without access to natural cooling water (such as a river or seawater), the wooden cooling tower on the left was needed to condense steam coming out of the turbines.

Long shadows from the palm trees stretched across the buildings as the sun set...
