You wouldn't find that tile in Home Depot. Such great detail and craftsmanship. A by-gone era.

Torn down?! How could they let this beauty that will never be again so to waste? Such a shame.
I know they must fasten these ornamental objects down pretty good, but can you imagine if one fell off and clunked someone on the head on the pavement below? Ouch!

This site is Awesome!! I always loved going through places like this year's ago, but it's a different world now. You make it possible for many to enjoy these spots without us falling through floors, getting attacked or arrested. You're going through the riggors and dangers getting these photos is Not Unappreciated, and I have turned many friends on to your site··· Thanks for all you do!!!!

That must've been an amazing place in its hey-day. Gorgeous pictures, it's a shame it couldn't be repurposed.

What a grand place this was. so sad to see. If walls could talk huh? Shame on all of us around the world for letting our history and beauty be so neglected and to just abandon them. We need to respect the things our ancestors built so wonderfully for generations to enjoy.

I am so sad to report that today 8/1/13 the Hotel Sterling is gone. The buildings were being demolished over the last few days and today they leveled the remainder of the building.
