I wonder if any elements of this site can or will be saved? Although with the sad aura surrounding these places the developers might just want to bulldoze everything (oh wait, they do that everywhere) it seems a shame to lose these beautifully crafted details.

AVE SATANAS! Lol
I'd love to film some sort of murder movie there involving satanic cults. If not that just do some B&W stills of the same subject matter.
Think the guards will take a $50 bribe?
Such a beautiful mantle. This tile work was comissioned by the Hartford Faience Company when the hospital was built around 1907. It is one of the only extant installation from this company that I am aware of in the state. Does anyone know if it still intact?

Several years ago I saw similar push button light switches in an abandoned house. It was a huge temptation to pull out the Leatherman and "recycle" them. The house has since been rehabbed and is again occupied. Hope the new owners appreciate and kept those wonderful switches. They are amazingly tactile and have a satisfying click.

the one in front is in a waterfall style, popular in the 1930's and 40's. This looks like the earlier period. My bedroom furniture is all in this style, only in oak.

It could be a padded room or something similar
