Based on the base, stem, and bowl of the toilet, I'm pretty sure that this toilet was made by Crane from the '30s to the '60s. It's hard to determine the model of the toilet without seeing the inside of the bowl, but I'm guessing that this toilet is a Santon. It could also be a Saneto or Whirlton. Do you remember the logo stamped on the toilet?

I believe that the urinal is a "Standard" Modesto. The Modesto is a different model than the "Standard" Madstone which looked really similar and seemed more popular. The brand "Standard" is today's American Standard.

It's sad that many developmentally disabled people were sent to places like Willowbrook and Pennhurst. There were many that were incorrectly diagnosed. All they had wrong was a poor attention span that coloured their true iq score and hyperactive or Asperger Syndrome. They had to fight the label to get discharged.

Letchworth reminds me of "American horror story: Asylum" with the brains and being under staffed.

Ugh. I hated those things when I had to get braces. I have a tiny mouth, and the orthodontist didn't have any small enough for me. They were always painfully too large...

I watched a Ghost show the other nite and the pictures that they showed of the patients were so awful I had to turn my head. A question for those who worked there, were the conditions that bad or was the Show putting on pics from WW 1 to ceep us out. If they were from there for real I'm wondering if the ghosts that hunt the place will stay in the new senior living buildings. Sorry, Kids, I'm old and that is one scarry thought

Obviously the above people do not have any compassion for handicapped people .....I would have expected some sort of feeling for the poor people that suffered while in the care of this place.. Where is your heart..........
