This is in the TB Pavilion??? So, yep, likely in a room lined in lead. Chest x rays galore....

No, they were the usual food fridges in all types of large institutions well into the early 80's. The islands morgue is separate/ a long way from the wards, nurses home, doctors quarters etc. Which was the norm too.

Hmmm, yes, that puts a chill up the spine. Soon as I saw it, 'psych ward' comes to mind. I too worked in one 40+ years ago, as another has written here. Not in North America, but they were/are the same world over. Nurses station indeed, through the internal window/opening. Its a very 'One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest' situation. There were indeed nurses like N. Rachett, not many, but that was too many. Working with those types of fiends was hard. I ended up on the other side of the nurses station for a few weeks once, hahaha and that was the ultimate. Experiencing both sides of it all. Knowing exactly what was going on in the nurses station and the staffroom freaked them out more than it did me. This is an amzing place, its history is fascinating. I found it while researching Mary Mallon. Thanks for the photos...

Oh that's original, Def not new. Mainly because it shows an old style Bulb needle/syringe. The style used pre 1980s. All newer syringes have a plunger. So it was definitely someone who was a heroin addict from back then.
Wow. I bet this old fridge still works. These old babies used R764 as their coolant, and was very efficient than the R12 or R134A freon that we use today. Would love to power them up. and see if they still work, I would bet they do if they have not been destroyed in any way.

Everytime I view a gallery I think it's my favorite. This one is definitely my favorite by any measure. Beautiful, thought provoking, sad, yet inspiring all at the same time. It actually took me three days to view the gallery due to the amount of time spent on each pic and reading the comments. Thank you so very much Mr Motts!!!!

So, if the cabinet door and/or chair fall.....will they make a sound (like a tree falling in the woods with no one to hear).....except maybe any spirits?

Wow, this building is much too beautiful to be abandoned. What a shame it wasn't repurposed for something other use.
God should have made us with transparent bodies so the freakin' doctors wouldn't have to make us drink this vile stuff!
