These were used for the hot and cold water therapy at this hospital--not for general bathing.

This would be a fantastic wallpaper for an Apple computer :)) Also an excellent wallpaper just if you love Motts work.
I think the blue wallpaper is beautiful, whether it looked nice or not when it was first applied I don't know, but the way it is now is gorgeous. I've been slowly making my way through all of the photos on this site in the last few days and this is the one I love the most. It still looks beautiful and happy after all these years in such a sad and forgotten place, and it shows that someone thought enough of the patients that they wanted them to have a little bit of colour and fun.
NIce poem twug. iam amazed no one has comented on this photo since Feb.
I have worked with people with leg braces, there not metal and menacing any more there moulded to your shape in a plastic. the people wearing say there comfortable enough.
I just noticed this is a manual one note the handle with the red knob. there was another knob which was tightened, first then The red handle was pushed up and down and the patiend raised. to lower the patiend the the other know was released slowly.
I use theses oxford hoists. there really good. the older style ones had a handle to raise the patient for manual lifting. The up-to-date ones are electric.
I live in the scotland uk and these fire exit signs are still used. I have saw them in different places.
More buckets for the porters to collect. These patholigists must have had a sense of humor.
