Just for the record: she was a very sick girl at the time, but managed to make lots of friends among the patients and the staff. She has autograph books that are signed by friends and many staff members. My impression of her stay at Glenn Dale was that the staff try to make the patients very comfortable and they did everything they could to make the children feel "normal". There were sports teams, movies, plays, and groups came to entertain them if they weren't too scared to catch TB. Anyway, I'd love to share the photos.
